Superior Oil Implements Datacor's Chempax C/S ERP Software

Chempax C/S Software solution helps Superior Oil better serve its customers

Perhaps the greatest change for Superior Oil has been improved inventory management. Prior to the Chempax C/S installation, Superior Oil recorded inventory transactions manually in the warehouse and then entered the data into the system later. Now, with the deployment of Chempax C/S, data is captured closer to where the event occurs for more accurate, timely information gathering. Another important inventory benefit is that Chempax can track inventory in any unit of measure. For example, one customer can be priced in pounds, but the product is stored in gallons, and the conversion happens automatically.

"The overall result is that we can now service our customers better. Before, the handling of data such as customer and product information was cumbersome. Orders were taken by hand and passed to a separate person for input. This caused delays in getting the orders to our warehouse for processing. Also, many prices were 'off-list' and negotiated on a per customer basis and our old system could not support customer-product pricing," Kirkpatrick said. "The data was unavailable for easy or quick review by sales and marketing which slowed down our decision-making process. With our new Chempax C/S solution, we're seeing a lot better sales information and data is accessible when and where we need it."

Kirkpatrick commended Datacor’s installation team for their "tremendous job." "This was a big and involved operation and it seemed like an overwhelming task.
