A Full Slurry System Redesign and Validated Before a Pump Was Ordered.

When existing pipework couldn't handle the upgraded duty, Agilitus used Fathom to redesign, optimize, and fully validate a new sand transfer system from the ground up.

The RSA23 project needed a complete system redesign. With solids concentrations from 500 to 780 gpl, a target flow of 915 m³/hr, and legacy pipework that wasn't up to the task, Agilitus used Datacor Fathom with the Settling Slurry Module to evaluate configurations, optimize pump staging, and validate the final design before a single procurement decision was made.

  • Slurry velocities validated above the 3.7 m/s settling threshold across all discharge routes
  • Pump staging confirmed at 950 m³/hr at 500 gpl and 870 m³/hr at 780 gpl across four series stages
  • Consolidated multiple pump stations into one facility, reducing capital and operational complexity
  • Delivered tender-ready documentation supporting contractor pricing and detailed engineering
