It has been a big year for Baytek! A lot has happened in just a few short months, and time has truly flown. In the blink of an eye, we’ve arrived at 2026. We’d like to take a few minutes to reflect on the milestones that made us proud and share our annual “Top 10” list with our customers and partners.
2025 was an exceptional year for Baytek—marked by growth, innovation, and deeper collaboration across the industry. In no particular order, here are ten highlights we’re especially proud of:
1. Joined the Datacor Family
In May 2025, Baytek was acquired by Datacor, officially launching Datacor’s dedicated LIMS and Quality Control division. We’re excited to combine Baytek’s 43 years of industry leadership with Datacor’s expanded resources to accelerate innovation and deliver even greater value to process manufacturers.
2. Shined at the Gulf Coast Conference
We enjoyed one of our strongest Gulf Coast Conference (GCC) events in more than 30 years. Highlights included deepened relationships with customers and partners, several quality-focused presentations with Alex Lau, and a highly attended Lunch & Learn on “Demystifying AI in Manufacturing.” The discussions that followed made it clear that lab efficiency and quality innovation are top of mind across the industry.
3. Expanded Our Portfolio with VDISoft
In November 2025, we welcomed VDISoft to the Datacor/Baytek family, further strengthening our quality control and laboratory software offerings for oil & gas, chemical, and process industries.
4. Active Leadership in ASTM D02
Baytek continued its strong involvement in ASTM D02, participating in committees focused on Quality, Statistics, and Process Stream Analyzers, as well as serving in officer roles presiding over multiple Lubricants subcommittees. The week was capped off with an unforgettable JAM SESSION—huge thanks to our co-sponsors!
A major highlight was in Subcommittee D02.94, where we successfully established a steering committee for ASTM D6299, reinforcing our commitment to industry standards and close collaboration with customers and peers.
5. Strengthened Our Team
We welcomed talented new team members, including Amy Ross, and continued investing in key roles across Development, IT, and Implementation. These additions help us better support our growing customer base and accelerate delivery across all product lines.
6. Launched Development of BATS
We completed the core development of our innovative Batch Approval Transfer System (BATS)—a new solution designed to streamline batch workflows and approvals. More to come in 2026!
7. Empowered Customers Through Training
We delivered numerous expert-led training sessions throughout the year, including those featuring renowned industry trainer Alex Lau. We also partnered with laboratory instrument vendor PSSC and EPA consultants Weaver Consulting to provide even more value and expertise to our customers.
8. Global Rollout of QC/CAPA Module
Our QC/CAPA (Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventive Action) module was successfully deployed across a major customer’s global laboratory network—nearly 100 labs worldwide and still expanding. This rollout enables streamlined non-conformance management, stronger root cause investigations, and enhanced compliance with ISO 17025 and EPA regulations.
9. Transformed Lab Automation in Houston
Following a successful pilot demonstrating seamless instrument data transfer from BLISS LIMS to QC/PLUS—replacing legacy third-party and homegrown systems incapable of automation—we launched a full-scale laboratory automation project at a major technical center in Houston, TX, the heart of refining and petrochemicals. This initiative will automate hundreds of analyzers, support ongoing expansion without additional staffing, reduce errors, and significantly accelerate result delivery.
10. Major Wins Across Our QC Portfolio
QC/EZ, our rapidly deployable and easy-to-use QC solution, continued gaining adoption across refining, fuels, chemicals, and third-party testing laboratories. Meanwhile, our flagship QC/PLUS solution was deployed to nearly 50 new laboratories, including research centers in North America, an automotive technical center, and global testing labs.
To close out the year, we also secured a major contract for our integrated OASIS (Online Analyzer SQC and Blend Optimization) and QC/PLUS solutions across a large refiner’s entire network. This enterprise-wide rollout will standardize analyzer data management, real-time blend optimization, and laboratory quality control—driving consistent product quality, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance at scale.
2026 will be a year of exciting transition
As we move into 2026, our focus is firmly on the future. The coming year will be a time of transition and opportunity as Baytek continues to integrate more closely into the Datacor family. You’ll begin to see a gradual transition to the Datacor brand, reflecting our role within Datacor’s dedicated LIMS and Quality Control division.
What won’t change is our commitment to our customers, our products, and the industry we serve. The same Baytek team, domain expertise, and proven solutions will continue to support your laboratories and operations—now backed by Datacor’s broader platform, resources, and long-term vision.
In 2026, you can expect continued innovation across QC/PLUS, QC/EZ, OASIS, and BLISS LIMS, expanded integrations, enhanced support capabilities, and new solutions like BATS moving closer to release. Most importantly, we look forward to deepening our partnerships with customers as we help drive efficiency, quality, and compliance across the global process industries.
We’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful to our customers and partners for being part of the journey.
